IFTEC Marine Services LLC is ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFIED COMPANY a part of the Sheikh Ahmed Farid group of companies. This group has interests in construction, hotels and oil field services as well as marine services with a total turnover in excess of US $ 400m. The management team of IFTEC also managed Desert Services LLC which had been providing marine services in Oman since 1992. IFTEC has unique expertise in Life Raft, Life Boats, FFE LSA Servicing and repair and is also capable of providing ship repair services for a wide range of vessels at all of Oman's major ports.
IFTEC Marine is a high quality provider of specialist services to the maritime industry in Oman in both commercial and leisure.
The company was formed in JUNE 2000 and was involved in the manufacture and supply of fishing boats for the developing fishing industry in Oman. As the main ports of Sohar, Salalah and Muscat developed IFTEC Marine expanded its range of services to include ship repair, marine safety equipment such as life rafts and lifeboats, fire fighting equipments, electronic and navigational aids.
IFTEC Marine has provided services to all maritime users in Oman including Royal Navy of Oman, Royal Oman Police as well as major Port operators such as Svitzer Weissmuller.
IFTEC Marine Services LLC is ISO 9001: 2015 CERTIFIED COMPANY. This company is providing various marine services since 1992 under the name of Desert Services and was re-named in 2000 as IFTEC.
IFTEC has unique expertise in Life Rafts, Life Boats, FFA, and LSA Servicing and repair and is also capable of providing ship repair services for a wide range of vessels at all of Oman's major ports.
IFTEC Marine has modern Marine Servicing Centers adjacent to the Ports of Sohar, Duqm and Salalah Port Service. These stations are approved by Lloyds Register, ABS, DNV, BV ….., the original equipment manufacturers, and the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology in Oman. All our Technicians have received manufacturer's training and are licensed to carry out repairs.
