Successful Repair and Refurbishment of Rescue Boat in Salalah Yard
At IFTEC, we take pride in tackling complex engineering challenges with precision, speed, and quality workmanship. Recently, our team successfully completed a major repair project on a rescue boat that had met with an accident onboard and suffered internal hull structure damage.
Upon the client’s request, the damaged rescue boat was transported to our yard in Salalah, Oman, where IFTEC’s skilled technicians carried out comprehensive repairs. The scope of work included:
Repairing the internal hull structure
Refurbishing the cabin door
Removing the existing foam and refilling with new A+B foam
Once the structural and foam repair works were completed, the boat underwent complete repainting to restore its original appearance and ensure long-term protection. To validate the integrity and reliability of the repairs, our team conducted a 1.10 times load test, confirming the vessel’s readiness for operation.

Remarkably, the entire process — from receiving the boat to completing all repairs and tests — was accomplished within 48 hours, demonstrating IFTEC’s commitment to efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
This project is another example of IFTEC’s ability to deliver high-quality marine maintenance and repair services under challenging timelines, reaffirming our position as a trusted engineering partner in Oman’s maritime industry.
